nursing clothes for winter and cold weather

When I was pregnant with my first son, nursing clothes weren’t even on my radar. Now, more than 17 months into breastfeeding my second son, nursing-friendly clothing has become my breast friend (pun intended)!

With the weather getting colder, I needed a nursing wardrobe update, and I knew just where to look. Kindred Bravely has taken nursing apparel to the next level by providing functional and stylish pieces that make it easy to nurse no matter where you are.

My Cuddle Weather Capsule Collection includes 12 items: 5 tops, 4 bottoms, 1 dress, and 2 pajama sets. These picks create a multitude of looks for working, lounging, running errands, and (best of all!) cuddling at home with your baby.

I chose pieces that are comfortable but put together so if I need to run to the store, I won’t have to change. Delivering the right balance between style and functionality is where Kindred Bravely really shines!

Let's take a look at my favorite pieces and some outfit ideas.

Nursing Tops

Kindred Bravely tops make nursing on the go a breeze. Pair them with leggings or joggers for lounging, and grab your favorite jeans if you’re heading out.

Let’s start with the Bamboo Nursing & Maternity Long Sleeve T-shirtSuper comfortable and flattering, this shirt allows you to nurse discreetly and still look cute! Pair it with jeans or leggings and a sweater when chasing the kids through the park.

nursing sweatshirt

Next on the list is my favorite hoodie, the Bamboo Nursing Hoodie, which is great for when your little one just can’t wait to eat. (Throw it over your Simply Sublime® Maternity & Nursing Tank for the easiest nursing access imaginable!)

Experience the perfect fit, feel, and look with the versatile Everyday Nursing & Maternity T-shirt. Dress it up with a pair of jeans and a nice cardigan, or dress it down with a pair of joggers.

nursing turtleneck

Sometimes you need to kick it up a notch, like when hosting your in-laws for a meal, and that’s what the Classic Nursing & Maternity Turtleneck is for. Soft, classy, and cozy, this nursing-friendly turtleneck is an essential piece to elevate your winter wardrobe.

A great sweater is a must-have for the winter months! Featuring an open-front design and two pockets, the Chloe Chunky Cardigan Sweater is all about effortless style, and as a mom, I need that. Plus, it works with every item in the capsule!

Postpartum Bottoms

maternity leggings

Because you can never have too many leggings, the Louisa Maternity & Postpartum Support Leggings are a must-buy! These leggings are my winter favorite because they’re the ideal length and thickness. The pockets are the perfect size for your phone and those baby teethers.

For some variety, grab the Martina Maternity & Postpartum Support Crop Leggings. They have the same great look and feel as the Louisa Leggings, just cropped. Sometimes I pair them with cute, colorful socks or a pair of UGGs.

Having an alternative to your leggings is always good when those laundry days stretch out a little too far. The Everyday Lounge Joggers are lightweight enough to wear to bed but thick enough to run to the store to grab some infant cold medicine in the middle of the night (because we’ve all been there).

The Bamboo Maternity & Postpartum Joggers are another favorite. The bamboo fabric is soft, breathable, and temperature regulating. Pair them with the Bamboo Hoodie for the cutest matching set around!

Nursing Dresses

I’m all about having my clothes do double-duty, and the 2-in-1 Nursing & Maternity Knit Midi Dress does just that! This super-soft dress has a cute shrug that makes it even more versatile. Wear it during the cooler months with the shrug, then without as the temps heat up. I also love that it’s dressy enough for an office party but still comfortable.

Nursing Pajamas

We can’t forget pajamas! I’m not sure why, but putting on matching pajamas before bed makes me feel very sophisticated, which isn’t a feeling I get often!

My go-to PJ set is the Clea Bamboo Classic Long Sleeve Pajama Set. The fabric keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter, which is something every mom needs.

The Jane Nursing Pajama Set is also a favorite of mine. Created to be worn as PJs or long johns, these pajamas are so soft you won’t want to take them off – and they’ve got a super-easy nursing panel. Many mornings I just throw a sweater or sweatshirt over the top and get to work.

I hope this list will help other nursing moms out there find the perfect outfit for cuddling with their cutie pies!
